What’s Wrong With This Card Solved – Chris Short

We have a winner, and once again it’s Gary, who correctly noted the picture of Chris Short was taken in the Polo Grounds, which was last used during the 1962 and 1963 seasons by the New York Mets. That’s what I find disturbing about this card. The 1969 Chris Short Topps baseball card has a picture that is at least six years old. Way to go Topps!

I have a number of baseball cards set aside for this purpose, so we will continue this series at some point down the line.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am in Philadelphia at this time. While at Citizens Bank Park I enjoyed the section along Ashburn Alley dedicated to the history of Philadelphia baseball. There was a photo and brief comment about Short on this wall. I took its picture and have included it for your review.
