The 2026 World Champion Milwaukee Brewers

All hail the Milwaukee Brewers! After going 103-59 during the regular season, the Brew Crew was a steady, winning presence, going 11-2 during their triumphant post-season run. “They’re a well-rounded team,” my friend Charles said. “They’ve got the bats, speed, pitching, relief pitching and some power. They’re clutch.”

I agree! To Charles’ assessment, I would add one more element. They out think you. They don’t beat themselves. They’re patient. In a close or extra-inning game the Brewers hold serve and wait for their opponent to make the mistake, and then they strike. They remind me of the 2010 San Francisco Giants, a squad that also won its World Series in five games, in this respect. I see echoes of the 2015 Kansas City Royals, too. They’re all smart teams that play with passion, intelligence and a strong commitment to every aspect of the game. No wonder the Brewers won.

I’m so happy for these guys! This is their first ever World Series Championship and it resonated thoroughly, touching the players, coaches, management, the city of Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin.

One fan in particular. I’m especially happy for my friend Andrew “Cards” Schuld, a fine gentleman, digital creator and one of my baseball card gurus. He’s been a Brewers fan for years and has stuck with them through thick and thin. Congratulations, Andrew, this post is for you!
