2013 Topps Series 1 Baseball Cards

If you’re a fan of a today’s players shown in action on baseball cards featuring superb photography and brilliant colors, you’re in luck. Series 1 of the 2013 Topps set, containing 330 cards, will be hitting the stores within a few days. After my miserable experience with the 2012 Topps Heritage issue, an unwieldy offering loaded with gimmicks, short prints and variations that have frustrated me beyond the point of exasperation, I’m very reluctant to continue giving this company my support, so I won’t be purchasing any of the new packs. However, I will still get most of the cards because I trade with other collectors, many of whom are looking for cards from previous years, which I have in abundance. 

Every year a prominent player is featured on the packs. This year’s choice for Series 1 is Prince Fielder, of the American League Champion Detroit Tigers. That’s him in the picture that appears in the upper left corner. Here are some of the cards you will find in these packs:
